What's new?

The combination of 325 mg paracetamol, 100 mg aceclofenac, and 15 mg serratiopeptidase is mostly preferred to alleviate pain following implant placement.

A retrospective study depicted that for postoperative pain management in people who underwent implant surgery, serratiopeptidase + paracetamol + aceclofenac was the most extensively prescribed anti-inflammatory/analgesic drug. Investigators aimed to investigate the commonly prescribed anti-inflammatory/analgesic drugs to manage postoperative pain.

Furthermore, the association was explored between gender, age, and numerous analgesics/anti-inflammatory agents prescribed following implant surgery. Retrospective data collection was carried out among 200 people who underwent implant placement. Analysis of the most commonly prescribed anti-inflammatory/analgesics post-surgery was done.

The frequency distribution revealed that the combination of 15 mg serratiopeptidase, 325 mg paracetamol, and 100 mg aceclofenac was prescribed to 87% of the patients. As found, 650 mg paracetamol was prescribed to 10% of patients and 20 mg piroxicam was prescribed to 3% of the patients. There was no substantial relation between gender vs. various anti-inflammatory/analgesic drugs prescribed post-implant placement.

Thus, the serratiopeptidase, paracetamol, and aceclofenac combination  is most commonly prescribed since it ensures adequate pain control following implant surgery.
